Seta Apparel is a high-end fashion brand from Medellin, Colombia. The vision was brought to life by sisters Eliana and Andrea Salazar after inheriting a passion for fashion from their grandmother who was a fashionista, and their mother who is a fashion designer.
The grandmother, Ligia Zapata, always traveled back and forth from Miami to New York. She always returned with new clothing to Colombia consisting of vintage pieces and patterns.
The mother, Maria Eugenia, is the creative genius behind it all ensuring the quality meets the brand’s standards.
Seta Apparel was founded on January 2014 when they began selling online. They received immediate attention for their unique pieces and opened up their first store in Medellin a year later in 2015.
Co-founder Eliana handles all the operational aspects of the company such as dealing with customers and logistics, but also shares her fashion sense by providing styling tips.
Later in 2015, Co-Founder Andrea moved to Miami and opened a showroom. In 2017, they opened their second official store in City Place Doral. The following year, in 2018, Seta opened their second US location in Brickell City Centre.
They distinguish themselves for their handmade sources, and neutral and metallic colors. Silver, gold and rock glam are obvious attributes found in their collections. The brand is well recognized for all the details found in their shoulder pads, beaded pockets and signature military jackets. Colorful pieces are rare for Seta, but every so often the visionaries behind the brand will surprise us with a pop of color.
The brand’s inspiration comes from traveling the world seeking for handmade and vintage pieces. Seta encourages women to dress different and feel confident in edgy, modern and minimalist pieces.
